Puktus is local-first tax-preparation software. This page describes what the service transmits and stores.
Stored on your computer
Tax-client records, documents, returns, agent transcripts, browser profiles, and credentials stay on your machine. Puktus Cloud never receives them.
Pilot requests
If you request a pilot or download access, we use your name and email address to respond and arrange a time or help you get started. Your request, landing-page variant, and campaign tags are emailed to the Puktus team through Resend. If you later share details about your tax software or workflow, we use them to plan the pilot. Please do not submit tax-client information. These inquiries are not added to the tax-client database. Contact support@puktus.com to ask us to delete your inquiry.
Website measurement
When enabled, our public landing pages use Plausible to measure visits, pilot-button clicks, download-button clicks, and accepted pilot or access requests. We send page paths, campaign labels, and the originating page variant, not your name, email, tax-software answer, or follow-up answer. This integration does not use cookies, browser storage, or session recordings. Local-file previews and marked internal visits are excluded. Plausible receives browser connection information needed to process events; see Plausible’s data policy.
Account information
Puktus Cloud stores the account data needed to operate your sign-in: your email address, name, and — when you sign in with Google — your Google account identifier and profile picture URL. This is tied to your firm's workspace record (organization, members, roles, invitations).
Google sign-in
When you choose "Continue with Google," Puktus receives your email, name, and profile picture from Google solely to create and identify your account. Puktus does not read your Google files, contacts, or calendar, and does not post anything on your behalf.
AI providers
When you run AI-assisted work, the content required for that task is sent to the AI provider configured for your account (for example OpenRouter or the model provider behind your own API key) under their terms and privacy policy. Puktus Cloud provisions a per-user key for this purpose; it never sells or shares your data.
Service operations
Puktus Cloud keeps minimal operational logs (for example authentication and rate-limiting events) to run the service securely.
